This place was just a proper fit for a momentary visit in Seward with good value considering price it charged. The bed and futons were comfortable for a night’s rest. Avoid arriving late as there might be access issues.

Well-equipped kitchens in rooms, impressive mountain views, prominent vintage touches
Creaky floors can be quite distracting at night!!! The check-in process can leave you standing outside in frustration due to access code complications!!! Outdated facilities mixed with poor soundproofing detract from the charm!!!

missingWrote a review on Nov 04terrible mattressmissing stopper
the accommodations were, well, interesting. the mattress felt like it was from a museum, and who doesn't love a bathroom sink without a stopper? also, while I waited for my codes, I could've been greeted with some complimentary chocolates or something, but apparently that was too much to ask. I almost left a good review, but I just couldn’t.

A cozy stay above the café
I truly enjoyed the unique vintage atmosphere and local charm of this place. The café below served fantastic breakfasts, making mornings delightful. The helpful staff made us feel right at home.
Unfortunately, the check-in process proved to be a hassle. I had trouble obtaining the access codes, leaving me waiting outside in the rain. Despite the cozy room, that initial struggle was frustrating.

We had a fantastic stay! The full kitchen was well-equipped, and the apartment was beautifully decorated. However, the bed was quite firm for my preference, but that's subjective. I'd definitely choose this place again!

The room was comfortable and clean, featuring a fully equipped kitchenette which was perfect for preparing meals. The vintage building had been updated beautifully, and the clawfoot tub in the bathroom provided a relaxing atmosphere after a long day. The view of the nearby mountains was stunning and the Wi-Fi worked seamlessly. The staff efficiently provided early access to the room via an emailed code, allowing us to explore the area without delay.
There was no elevator access, which may pose a challenge for some guests.

I appreciated the unique vintage charm of my apartment at Sauerdough Lodging. The kitchen had all the essentials, enabling me to prepare meals easily. I loved the clawfoot tub in the bathroom. it added a nice touch. The location was perfect, right on the Main Street of Seward, making it convenient to explore shops and restaurants. However, the check-in process was a hassle. I waited outside in the cold because I hadn't received my access codes in advance. Once inside, I noticed the water pressure in the shower could have been better. The floors creaked quite a bit, which made it challenging to move around quietly at night. Overall, the vintage décor added to the experience, but the check-in complications and noise were less than ideal.

Cozy Stay with a View
Super comfy spot! We loved the full kitchen for making snacks, which was a plus. The view from the window was stunning, like a postcard! The only thing was parking can get a tad tight during busy hours, so plan ahead. Cafe downstairs is awesome for quick bites. Definitely a great place to unwind!
